Swami Prakashananada visits Toronto (June 1-11, 2005)
We are happy to announce that Bramachari Prem Chaitanya has taken sanyas last Shivaratri and became Swami Prakashananada. Here is the list of his programs during this visit to Toronto.

Swami Prakashananda, formerly Brahmachari Prem Chaitanya, met Swami Chinmayananda while studying at the University of Toronto. With the permission of his Guru, he went to India where he spent six years studying Vedanta and Sanskrit under the guidance of Swami Chidananda, Swami Tejomayananda and under Swami Chinmayananda himself, as well as getting a law degree (LL.B) from Benares Hindu Universoty. He also holds a B.A. double major in Political Science and Philosophy from York University, Toronto. Brahmachari Prem Chaitanya has lectured in India, Nepal, U.K., Canada, Trinidad, Guyana, Grenada, Barbados, and the United States. At present he is the resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Trinidad. |
